Dear Emma...

I have...Honeysuckle, Foxgloves, a Rosetree, Aquilegia (excuse spelling) and the first plant, of which I have absolutely no idea what the hell it is.

I thought that at first, but I don't think it is. I think it has different leaves.

Beautiful!!!

It looks like a snapdragon, but when you click on it and it enlarges, it's not the same as a snapdragon. I'll have to further investigate.

I love the color honeysuckle--it's the exact same as my Dad grew, and it's not as invasive as the white kind.

And that foxglove!--love it. Your colors all seem to go together, whereas my garden flower colors don't. I have whites, oranges, reds, purples, yellows, pinks, all clashing. But I love both types of gardens. Respighi put up some pictures (on her blog) of a Japanese Zen garden she visited awhile back and it was so serene . . all shades of green. It was very lovely too.

I like nearly all types of gardens except the VERY VERY formal ones with all the plants lined up like they were soldiers.

I believe the honeysuckle variety was "Americana". It was free from a lovely lovely aunt and uncle. It's a really pretty looking one, but has no scent.

I also hate lined gardens. Gardens are supposed to be messy. My colours match at the moment, but come the summer, all the colours will be fabulously clashing.
