De Plane, De Plane!

I am allegedly geting a tattoo tomorrow. I can't believe I am doing it to be honest. I don't like tattoos on women, I think they look (to be blunt) common. Stew thinks I will chicken out, and he is probably right. But a girl I know had a tattoo that I fell in love with when I saw it...so will try and be brave. Will post pics if I manage to get it done.

they are trashy, and you're too old for the tramp stamp (the tattoo at the small of the back right above the ass). several of my friends are covered in tattoos and all i hear about is "i'm not allowed to show them at work and i have to find clothing that covers them wah wah wah."

on the same note, my little sister has piercings in her face that look awful and i tell her every time i see her how nasty they look.

don't do it!!! you will not love the tattoo after a while. they look silly on older people, not that you are older, but you will be some day.

What is the design?
You shouldn't force yourself to do it, but if you really want it, go for it!

I think you should go for it; just consider carefully where you plan to put the tattoo (ankles are good)

Do not diss Amy. She's fabulous.

You will be pleased to know I have bottled out of my tattoo. A friend of mine suggestedI have the same design hennaed in the same place to see if I like it. I think I will do that first.

I saw an absolutely beautiful girl the other day in a gas station . Slim , nicely dresed with long flowing hair . Then she turned around and I noticed her complete upper arm ( on whatever side it was) was tattooed with something that looked like red spiderweb things and she looked like a beautiful pianting some asshole had defaced . but on to an odd thing I was considering .

Just a few days ago I was driving past a Tattoo parlor here and I too was thinking I might get a tattoo . Rediculous as it seemed I actually gave it some thought , If I got one it would be a leopard on my left forearm . Seriously tho I highly doubt I'll bother . Afterall I do want to be buried in a jewish cemetary . Allan

Allan...why would it be ridiculous for you to have a tattoo done?

I don't like tattoos at all. Why do people inflict pain upon themselves?--if you want art--hung it on a freaking wall.
I can't distinguish between good tats and bad ones.

That being said, do whatever the hell you want--it's your bod. BUT do not bitch when that beautiful daughter of yours comes to you in 15 years with a "ONE SEXY LADY" tattoed acrossed her ass :)

well clank because I generally am not a fan of tattoos especially on women tho I also find men who are all tattooed up to at least on the surface to be rather foolish people . That may very well be a bad judgement call on my part but appearances do count on how we react to others . Tattoos to me are like bad teeth . I have a hard time not concentrating on both when I am interacting with a person . Granted this is a personel bias on my part and a tattooed person may very well be brilliant and in my ignorance I miss it and that may very well be my lose ( probably is ) .

Also Clank , I'm 60 years old and it would be kinda dumb to be getting my poor old body all marked up with inks at this late date tho I have to say I bet my tattoos would still look fab when I die as compared to the people who were tattooed early in life and that might be a positive thing. At the very least it will give the undertakers something to talk about that day .

Allan...you make me laugh out loud.

I have a good family friend aged about 70 who has "Death" tattooed on his arm. He said he wanted to have "Death before dishonour" but it hurt too much.

i'm so please you haven't done it.
i wouldn't want you sinking to my depths

Good Clank, if I give one person a laugh for the day that makes my day .

I had to take another drive today to see some people and I guess it was in my mind but it seemed I was seeing a tattoo parlor on every corner . It was very strange .

Heres an interesting thing I saw concerning Tattoos . On 9/11/01 I was driving thru towns on Eastern Long Island and everytime we would see a tattoo parlor there would be a big line outside . I guess people were getting Twin Tower tattoos or maybe American flag tattoos . It seemed odd but this really happened .

This female got a tattoo of Brad Pitt on the inside of her left thigh and George Clooney on the inside of her right thigh. I didn't know who they were at the time but I guessed the one in the middle with the long hair and bad breath was Willy Nelson
