I have finished my Beryl Bainbridge book and am rereading the Half Blood Prince to remind myself the thread for the next book. Is nobody else as excited as me?

I'm actually quite excited Jackie... just re-read order of the Phoenix and going to see the film tomorrow and have my copy on order from Amazon to arrive Saturday... just please dont spoil it if you read it before me!!
I haven't ordered mine. Thought I might buy mine from Asda, as I will be there at eight in the morning anyway, and I get discount. I would never spoil and ending. I saw in the paper the end to the Half Blood Prince and I boycotted the said newspaper forever.
Man, you guys have a much better cover than we do in the States.
However, I can't wait til it gets here.
I finished reading everything through Phoenix, then saw the movie for Phoenix, and now I am half-way through HBP, with my copy of DH preordered. I have also sharpened up my machete for the first person who tells me who dies, or any other things about it!
I like your new photo. :)
i have never read a HP book or seen a movie. i'm not a snob, but it all just seemed to pass me by, and now i'm too lazy to bother with it all. i'm happy kids and adults alike are looking forward to a book.
i did think of getting a new copy of watership down and reading that, as i liked that book a lot as a kid. I'm sure the baby will want to do the HP thing when she's old enough to care, and then it'll be a whole new thing for me then.
jilly
Ive read the books after the stepdaughter but obviously im no fan compared to you lot
Just got back from seeing OOTP... good but missed load from the book,.. going to read HBP again (and cry when DD dies> before getting DH in saturday) god if HP dies I will be inconsolible!!!!
I don't think HP will die. I do think that at the end of the HBP, DD asks SS to kill him.
I hope Peter Petigrew cops it. I am starting to feel sorry for Draco, however. Should I be in one of those anorak type HP clubs?!?!
Thanks for visiting my blog, Broch xxx
I am terribly excited about the new book..i might just say, a pet hate of mine is reducing names phrases and book titles to acronyms, so it will, for me, forever be Harry Potter, and not HP !
p.s. Clank, don't go to Asda for your copy, they forgot to pay their bill to Bloomsbury and have been sent to Diagon Alley for being naughty.
Adrian
p.p.s this might appear twice, as i don't think i hit enter te first time, if there are 2, then i did hit enter the first time.
Dear Adrian.
Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog sweetie xxx
Sadly, I work at Asda. So I also get a discount. And i am a cheapskate. And I only used initials as I am too lazy to type full names.

Sorry Clanky, but I think the UK cover is butt ugly. I prefer the Scholastic, American version

"Sorry Clanky, but I think the UK cover is butt ugly."
Off with her head.
Ok...well I have just been to look at the US version, and although I like the general design, HP doesn't appear to be actually doing anything.
But then, now that I look at the UK version, hes isn't actually doing anything there either. On the back of the UK version is the Stag animagus. And a picture of Hogwarts. And they are far nicer than the US illustrations.
whatever happened to not judging a book by its cover?
I was reading about some local stores and how theyre preparing for selling the book. They have very specific plans to get people in and out very quickly and orderly, so no one can open to the back page and shout out the ending to everyone still in line (apparently some people are threatening to do just that). One place is also offering ear plugs so people can make sure they dont hear anything on the way back to their cars. I dont really understand that impulse some people have to want to spoil things for other people.

if you get a discount and get it from Asda will they be paying you to buy it since it's only a fiver there anyway
On the American Coivers Harry looks American I don't like them
