Am halfway through HP. It is very dark as I expected. And two deaths that I didn't want already. Possibly three.
My mum is coming over from Canada for 2 weeks tomorrow so I'm really looking forward to seeing her.

where in canada does your mom live? will you go visit her ever? when i was in college, i took a class about physical geography and we learned all about the wonderful wilds of canada. for some reason, i loved all the crap we had to read about the bay of funday and have been attempting to take a trip there for the past few years.
i love that your family comes to see you from canada. my mom has only been to my house 2 times and she lives 45 minutes away.

We met a family from Canada while we were on vacation. They told us that when they cook, they have to lock the back kitchen door, or bears will try to get in.
My mum lives about 140 miles north of Toronto in a place called Parry Sound. It is up on the lakes and she absolutley loves it. I will post photos next time maybe. She hasn't lived there that long, she and my step dad have retired there. They just moved there from Cornwall which is a three hour journey away from me.
Schell, my mum says the same! They have locks on all their whelie bins and recycling stuff to keep bears out. Once when she was sat on the patio, some baby bears strolled across the bottom of the garden.
Bears? Oh my...
my 3rd year in college, bears wandered onto campus and tore up all the trash dumpsters at the cafeteria. Every time i go to visit friends and family in the mountains, i wonder why it's part of the rest of the state, it really doesn't fit in.

Fez, LOL!
Have you finished Harry yet? How'd you like it? Personally, I like my bullshit ending better. But, on the whole, I still liked it. After years of hype, and JK promising everything would be explained (and then it wasn't) it really couldn't help but be a little bit of a let down.
