Marian Keyes...the work of the devil?

I can't find anything I want to read. I have a pile of classics upstairs that need some serious consideration. And Memoirs of a Geisha. But I have this terrible urge to read some...

Chick Lit.

Somebody help me.

When you say chick lit do you mean those pastel colourd tombes with cartoon bints on the cover brandishing shoes and handbags all over the place?? I've never touched although I do like a good bodice ripper.. shirlee Busbee in particular!!

favorite book series ever: Janet Evanovitch's Stephanie Plum series. It's chick-lit, but guys love it too. She writes absolutely GREAT characters, really unforgettable, and very funny. If you want a real treat, listen to the fourth one on audio. It's hysterical, and the narrator does a fabulous job on Lula's character. Lula is the 200 pound black ex-hooker sidekick with absolutely NO ego problems. terrific stuff, if you like that sort of thing, Anyway, I hope you give it a try.

Rosa, I remember loving Woman in White but remember nothing else about it -- sounds like re-read time!

I've been feeling the urge to read a "pink book" lately, too. Maybe several of them.
