Concrete Cows

Last week we went to Milton Keynes. The land of the concrete cow. My mums brother lives there and my cousin lives at Newport
Pagnell. She's just had a baby girl, and we are such a small family, that it has been huge excitement for us.

We stayed in a hotel overnight and went out to eat what seemed like ten times in two days.

I see in your picture that the fellow holding the baby has a wedding band on what appears to me to be his right hand. Is this the tradition?

When we went to Prague they had a cow festival there and there were multi coloured cows all over the city.. there was even one on top of a bus shelter....Lovely baby btw what a gorgous mop of hair.

that's a pretty baby. and look at all that hair. mine will be bald until she's 2, like the restof my family was. why do they have cows? they have crabs and fish in baltimore and in DC they have donkeys and elephants all over the city (after the 2 big political parties)

Terrific pic of the baby! Pretty baby, good camera.

Kaz, I used to live in Houston (Texas, USA!) and those "art cows" were there around 2001. I think they're a traveling exhibit with some new cows added with local flavor for each place. I loved them.

My uncle is my mums brother. He is divorced from his wife for 25 years and never remarried. I think his ring just swapped hands. He is an incredibly clever, lovely, gentlemanly bloke if there are any lovely 55-60 year old single women out there who fancy a blind date :oD

Thanks for all the nice baby comments...Jilly, Lizzy was bald till she was two, too.

The Milton Keynes concrete cows have always been a standing joke. Milton Keynes is brand new town. Or at least, it was in the 70s.

If Braden saw those cows, he'd want at least one in our yard!

Fez I think it is the same lot of cows they go from city to city, they were amazing real good fun and added to the holiday no end.
