Spooked

I am the most unbelieving person I know when it comes to ghosts, spirits and psychic abilities. However (You knew there was going to be a however, didn't you?!) Some friends recently went to a psychic night, where a guy correctly talked about a van crash. He got names, places and the whole incident correct. Even down to a poem the victims daughter had written. It spooked me completely (The victim was my ex brother in law, and my ex husband was driving). What do you think? Is there trickery to this...or is it real? I had my palm read once, it it was a total travesty!

p.s. Anyone who watched Doc Martin this week will have noted that Louisa was wearing my lovely Laura Ashley fish print skirt that Mrs Weasley was so mean about. I always knew I had good taste.

I don't/didn't believe in that psychic crap either until a good friend of mine went to a medium and they "talked" to a certian person and described something that there is no way anyone would know about but my friend...down to minute details. I was spooked hearing the story. I don't think I'd like dead people talking to me.
On a side note....I got 161 pages into White Teeth and finally had to stop torturing myself...that is the worst book ever written and I haven't not finished a book in years.

i think the possibility of psychics being real exists. however, it's like poetry, it's too hard to weed through the crap to get to the good stuff. that being said, i live in the middle of a grave yard owned by the jews and am surrounded by the greek grave yard at the end og my street and the county poor people graveyard on the other side of the development.

on the first halloween i lived here allan, (vanda), swore to me it'd be a mini night of the living dead out there, but i've never had any problems with zombies or ghosts. as neighbors go, i much prefer the dead people to the living ones.

jo-ann...I think I already told you I hated White Teeth too. I did torture myself to the end. I believe they made it into a series here.

Jilly...you are a braver woman than me.

To quote the Cowardly Lion:

I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks, I do I do I do believe in spooks.
