Yellow Submarine
I have enrolled in a college course and have already started. It's a sort of word processing, clait, spreadsheet type of course. I can do a lot of it already, but need qualifications in it if I want to get a better job. Which I desperately do. I don't hate my job at Asda, but I now need to get back to a real job. I do not want to go back to my previous career, I fancy a little office/admin kinda job in a little office/admin kinda place! So Schell, to answer your previous question, sadly no. Not a lot of time for reading just now! But I am about a quarter of the way through The Other Boleyn Girl and love it. I usually like to read 18th/19th century novels, but I love the way Ms Gregory writes.

good luck with it clank. i'm glad you found something you want to do and are working towards it. i still don't know what i want to do when i grow up. i'm full of envy for people who achieve that in life.

Good for you, in taking the class! When I was going back to school, I loved taking classes. Being with other adults, learning new things...it made me feel alive.
Fez...I have absolutely no idea. Jilly...I still don't know what I really want to do either. I think putting historical artifacts into some sort of orer would be the perfect job for me. I work with lots of teens who are just off to college. They all have their lives and careers mapped out and I am so jealous. I never had a plan. I so wish I had done.
Clank, give them 2 years, most of them will have changed their plan or given up on it.
i need to take a few more classes and then i'm fully certified to teach special ed. in my current class there are some really dumb people in there.
one poor boy (he's 18, so i can call him that) kept insisting that it was impossible for someone to have been president of the US 4 times, as that's against the law. one of the older women in the class finally took pity on him and explained to him that it was now impossible, but previously possible and done by one man, FDR.
he hasn't come back to class since, but i think it has more to do with the same woman saying "jesus kid, we work with retarded kids, but that doesn't mean we're retarded too." i shockingly kept my mouth firmly shut for the whole event.

i don't work with any "retarded bitches" and i know i'm not a "retarded bitch." i do know a few bitches in the department, but no one who's retarded. however, i feel there's nothing wrong with being a bitch, especially when we spend our time babysitting other people's violent criminal/mentally insane children.
