What are you reading?

I finished the Georgette Heyer and have started reading a book I got out the library called A Spectacle of Corruption by David Liss. I read the prequel to this book and loved it. It won some award which normally puts me off. It is about a Jewish ex boxer who is a thief taker in eighteenth century London. A bit of a Dog Bounty Hunter for the 1700's

Does anyone know of a book site where you can find similar book reviews? I can't explain it very well, but I would like to go to a site where they say "Oh, if you liked The Jane Austen Book Club, then you will also like these books."

At both www.barnesandnoble.com and www.amazon.com they have "customers who bought this book also bought these books" features, which has been helpful to me in finding other books I like.

I am reading Restless Virgins...a book about the goings on in prep schools particularly Milton Academy in MA...huge sex scanda...one high school aged girl willingly gave 5 high school aged hockey players blowjobs one after the other for 3 nights in a row. The boys got expelled...nothing happen to the girl...controvery galor...this apparently is someing that happens often for popularity/clout in the prep school social scene that not many parents were aware of. Bill Clinton gave the graduation speech at this academy the year this happen...ironic or what? This was a fun discussion book for my reading group...some of them actually thought the girl was a victim. The book was written by former Milton Academy students themselves..the writing wasn't all that great...they probably give better blowjobs. Next on my reading list is Water for Elephants.

I have an excellent taste in books!

Britters, I know they do that, but then I think, well I just bought Kaiser Chiefs cd and a pop party cd for my four year old. So just because somebody buys two books at once, surely that doesn't mean it's similar? Or is that just amazons way of showing us similar books? I am never too sure.

Water for Elephants WAS excellent,, avoid The Good Good Pig unless you are a Sy Montgomery lover or a lover of pigs,, she is way too self congratulatory and repetitive. Right now I am reading the secret life of lobsters,, actually very interesting- it is about lobsters! Sort of a natural history/ memoir/ travelog type of book. Scientific interspersed with human interest. Hope that makes sense.

There's a copy of Water for Elephants in the back see of the EluMobile. Think I'd enjoy it?

Always nice to visit you, dearest Clank.

I cannot begin to explain it, but it is very funny and surprisingly informative.
